Clowns Parade & Picnic 2016

Hotham Park Heritage Trust (HPHT), currently a registered charity, is in the process of being closed with the intention of becoming a charitable organisation to be known as Friends of Hotham Park (FoHP).
Click this link for an update on the situation, including details of how to contact FoHP

All events listed on this website have always been organised and run entirely by a small group of unpaid Trustees, Members and Volunteers of Hotham Park Heritage Trust. In the Autumn of 2019 the decision was made to close the Trust because of a lack of people willing to volunteer their time.

The new charitable group, Friends of Hotham Park, hope to continue the legacy of HPHT by organising various activities in the future but they need your help. For more information please email info@fohp.org or click here.

Clowns Parade and Picnic in the Park 2016

Sunday 15th May 2016 from 2pm – Free entry

The Clowns International Parade and Picnic in the Park was part of Clowns International’s Clowns Are Back, weekend Festival 12-16 May 2016, and was organised with help from Hotham Park Heritage Trust.

Clown

The Clowns International Parade and Picnic in the Park took place in Hotham Park, Bognor Regis from 2pm on Sunday 15th May. The Clowns paraded through Hotham Park, all dressed in Motley, their traditional costumes. The people in Bognor Regis joined them for an afternoon of merriment, fun and joy. Many people brought their families and a picnic and had a great time whilst being entertained al fresco by all the clowns who, when asked, joined in and helped eat the picnics!

Clown
Hotham Park Heritage Trust encouraged children to join the Clowns International Grand Parade from the London Road gate, with a prize for the best Boy and best Girl dressed clown.

The Picnic in the Park included the Chichester City Brass Band playing on the Bandstand, which had been made possible by sponsorship from Tesco Bognor Regis.

This event in Hotham Park was FREE and the clowns were delighted to be invited back to Bognor Regis, working with the Hotham Park Heritage Trust on the Sunday, and to meet once more friends old and new.

This was a fantastic fun day and one not to be missed.

Hotham Park Heritage Trust also organised and ran Hotham Park Country Fair and Carols in the Park and Father Christmas. It is a Registered Charity and all work was undertaken by a group of unpaid Members and Volunteers.
