All events listed on this website have always been organised and run entirely by a small group of unpaid Trustees, Members and Volunteers of Hotham Park Heritage Trust, which is now being closed because of a lack of people willing to volunteer their time.
The new charitable group, Friends of Hotham Park, are hoping to continue the legacy of HPHT by running various events in 2020 but they need your help. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org or click here
The following is one of the events organised and run by Hotham Park Heritage Trust in 2019.
Carols in the Park 2019
Sunday 1 December 2019 – 4:30pm to 6:30pm – FREE entry.
Carols, glow sticks, festive cheer and fairy lights brightened up our dark park on Sunday 1st December 2019 between 4.30pm and 6.30pm when Hotham Park Heritage Trust, together with Friends of Hotham Park, ran the much-loved annual ‘Carols in the Park’, this year in association with The Rotary Club of Bognor Regis. It was a lovely, crisp December day during which the crowds were also entertained by the Christmas Fire-dancing fairy and her friend the Twinkly Fairy. They were even lucky enough to meet Carol and her Friends into the bargain!
People enjoyed a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate with mince pies, then lit up the bandstand lawn with their torches at 5pm whilst the Chichester City Band played as we all sing carols. When the Carols had finished the Twinkly Fairy fluttered through the park escorting a very special visitor – can you guess who it was? He was so special he even brought some snow!!
This was a fantastic free event and we are so pleased that everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves.
